The Muzzled Voice

Okay, so he asked for it: another blog. Here it is.

I’ve been trying to muzzle myself lately. The absolute outrage I feel over the last few weeks over the stimulus package has put me in a position to act.

I began to write Senators across the board, asking them to reconsider the stipulations in this bill. I also found a few websites (that I should have shared, and I apologize for not doing so) that offered petitions against the spending package proposed by Pelosi and her liberal goons. Upon feeling such disgrace with the American “support” of this bill, I also decided I needed to become much more pro-active than merely writing blogs that many people really don’t read anyway (aside from a few close friends, or maybe just Jared).

Moving back to Kenosha, WI, I wanted to get involved with the Kenosha County Republican Women’s Group, but found out that they were no longer active. I gladly discovered that the former President of the group had moved on to bigger and better things, like becoming an Alderman here in Kenosha. As I stated my sense of urgency to the former members and the current President of the Wisconsin Federation of Republican Women, I was then asked if I would be willing to take over the roll of President for the Kenosha group and reorganize members/membership. So I’ve been working on putting all of these things into place.

All in all, I’m disgusted by the whole process, and the way our voices are not being heard anymore. So what do we do? How can we resolve this crisis? And when will it ever change?

As the bill has been currently “approved” by Democrats and a mere 3 Republicans (RINOS-Republicans in name only), I’m saddened that this isn’t a bill that will truly stimulate our economy, but instead is a sneaky, manipulative move on the liberals part to start implementing policies without American’s knowledge or approval.

And speaking of approval, how is something this important only approved by a select few? How about the opinions of those who this will truly affect? No matter how much we protested, those Senators did what THEY wanted to do…without listening to anyone. Why? Because they are trying to blind sight us with their aggressive, destructive agendas. And the only ones who will suffer will be the average Americans who have been suffering long enough!

One thing that has bothered me the most during this whole process has been Obama’s lack of governing, and his dire need to continue campaigning–because it’s all he knows how to do. Proof is in the pudding: he put Nancy Pelosi in charge of WRITING the stimulus package! He had no part in writing it. But because he’s such a great campaigner–and has no real experience in governing–liberals took it upon themselves to do the dirty work and pushed Obama out the door insisting he “sell it” to Americans.

Throughout his campaign to get Americans on board, he continued to spew more egomaniacal garbage about how “he won” and “Americans spoke in November”. Well, little does Obama realize that most of Americans did not vote HIM in, they voted against someone else. Most Americans voted with hate in their hearts. They voted against Republicans, not for Obama. They voted for his rhetoric, not his experience. They voted because he spoke well, because he used all the right slogans and jargons. Hope and Change. But no one really knew what that meant. How could they? Obama never informed us. He didn’t have a plan…just words.

And that’s how we got into this whole mess. Americans were ignorant at the polls. Studies proved that during the election that many people didn’t even KNOW what Obama stood for. If strangers were asked on the street if they supported Obama’s policies, but were actually given McCain’s issues on certain policies, these idiots said, “I totally agree with those things, and that’s why I’m voting for Obama.” They didn’t even know what any of the issues were. They let the media brainwash them into thinking that Bush–and really any Republican figure–was the enemy and that Obama was the messiah. That he would save the day. That Obama would take care of them. Support them. Coddle them. Be the modern day Robin Hood.

But the media wouldn’t allow us to know the real Obama. They protected him. They coddled HIM. They supported him. They made him the monster he is today. They didn’t ask the tough questions that McCain was asked. They overlooked the horrific past of Obama’s associates, while degrading McCain on any issue they possibly could. They called out McCain when he would try to discuss real issues about and against Obama, making him look cruel and mean to the Savior of the World, like Pontus Pilate ready to crucify Christ.

No one knows anything about Obama. We really don’t, and if you say you do, you’re only lying to justify your vote for him. Obama is the only President who can get away with telling reporters, “I’m not answering that…you’re just playing games now….You’re just twisting my words.” When they are not. They are asking real questions about the decisions he has been making.

And let’s not forget the ridiculous choices he has made in critical roles in his administration. If this had been Bush making these terrible decisions, first of all, these guys would have never been confirmed, and Bush would have been ridiculed as being irresponsible and plotting some catastrophe against America.

This has been a one-sided freak show. The Obama Show. It’s been an Obamanation. I wouldn’t be surprised if in the near future our country will be renamed Obamaland. A woman tells Obama she needs a new home, and BAM, she gets a new home. A Burger King worker wants to know if Obama will find a way for him to get him promoted, and in the process screams out, raising his hands to heaven, praising Obama like a god who can save him from his fast food trap.

But guess who’s getting lost in the system? You are. We are. We will suffer greatly. Within three weeks of his Presidency, we are already suffering. Blame Bush if that makes you feel better, but the reality is, Obama didn’t miraculously fix the world on Day One. It got worse. The day Tim Geithner said there would be problems, and they would make mistakes—this guy who would also “save the day”—the Dow was down 400 points.

What can I say that you don’t already know? You know this isn’t a real “stimulus” package. You know this won’t create jobs that will truly help the economy. You know this bill is stuffed with pork to fill politicians’ pockets with junk that is unnecessary to our economic well being. You know this bill doesn’t really help me or you. And you know this bill will only leave us financially devastated for generations to come. But most people don’t care. Most people didn’t try to stop it. Most people trusted government over logic and reason. Most people didn’t even listen. Most people will only sit back and complain about it when it all falls apart…and they’ll find a convenient way to continue blaming Bush and Republicans.

And for those who never did anything to stop this, for those of you who sat back and watched the world as we know it crumble around us in bits and pieces…well, shame on you! I don’t care if you’re “not political.” Does that mean you don’t care what happens to you in the next few years, or what happens to your children’s future? Standing up for what’s right is not political. It is your responsibility. And when the people we have entrusted to do the right things don’t, then it’s time to take that responsibility to the polls and find someone who’s willing to truly listen to the voices of America! Stop using politics as an excuse in not being responsible for this country’s success. Stop insinuating that it doesn’t matter. Stop complaining and start acting. Because ultimately…it does affect every single one of us…one way or another.
